The Berean Experience has been one of both spiritual and familial connections for the Thorne Family.

Leticia Thorne is the 3rd of 4 generations of Berean Baptist Church members whose roots connect her to Berean Brooklyn. Leticia has been active in the church since her formative years as a part of the Sunday School, the youth choir, and praise dance ministry. The instruction, love, and support that she received as a youth raised in a small Baptist church informs the way in which she approaches her service in the Berean Youth Ministry. Her journey as a Youth Ministry Leader began by simply answering the call for parent volunteers. Since 2014, Leticia has committed herself to building God’s Kingdom by serving some of its youngest members. It is truly an honor and pleasure to help nurture and grow the faith of Berean youth. Her fellowship with the youth has been an amazing journey of joy, love, laughter, and self-discovery.

Leticia was raised in the small town of Tarboro, NC. Her parents imparted many life lessons about resilience, respect, character, and the importance of family that remain with her to this day. She enjoys music, movies, reading, sports, and spending time with her family. She developed a love for all things Tar Heel as a student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Leticia has spent the last 15 years working in Inventory Management and Logistics. She is the proud mother of two dynamic daughters Mikayla and Leah.
